TERA RETAIL LLC is the U.S. affiliate of a long-established Turkish retail technology group, focused on bringing a proven point-of-sale (POS) and retail software platform to small and mid-sized retailers in the United States. Our U.S. office leads market entry, product localization, and commercial rollout in close cooperation with our Turkish development and implementation teams.
We are now building our U.S. sales organization and looking for a Sales Manager to lead sales strategy and execution.
Role Summary
The Sales Manager will lead the U.S. sales function, design and execute the annual sales plan, manage the sales pipeline, and supervise sales staff as they are added in line with the company’s growth plan. You will play a key role in introducing our retail POS solution to the U.S. market and building relationships with distributors and key customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and execute the annual sales plan and monthly targets for the U.S. market; monitor progress and adjust tactics as needed.
- Manage the sales pipeline from lead to close; review proposals, pricing, and contract terms prepared by staff; escalate final issues for executive review and signature.
- Recruit, train, and supervise sales staff as demand grows; set individual sales targets and conduct performance reviews.
- Develop and maintain relationships with distributors, high-value customers, and referral partners; oversee participation in trade shows and industry events.
- Coordinate closely with the Implementation & Customer Analyst and the Technical Support Manager to ensure customer feedback and market insights are captured and acted upon.
- Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reports to the General Manager.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience meeting sales targets and managing a structured sales pipeline, ideally in B2B software, SaaS, or retail technology.
- Experience recruiting, coaching, and supervising sales staff is preferred.
- Strong communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally with product, support, and implementation teams.
- Comfortable working in a growing, entrepreneurial environment and building processes from the ground up.
